July Favorites

It’s hard to believe that July is almost over! This summer feels like a whirlwind to me.

Here’s my favorite things for July!

Kim K’s turquoise jeans. Love the way she pulled them off. There’s hope for us girls with hips and colored jeans!

St Tropez Bronzing products. I’m stuck in an office all summer, but I like to have a little cancer-free color on my face and chest!

J Crew Blazer. I love the preppiness and that it’s a statement while also being versatile and classic. I pair it with white jeans and a coral top for my overly air conditioned office!

A glitter tipped French manicure. It’s such a fun twist on the classic.

These Elle for Kohl’s heels. I just got them for $13.99 on clearance the other night! Score! Can’t wait to wear em.

Covergirl Liquiline Blast Eyeliners. I’m really loving the chocolate brown one right now. It’s smudgy perfection.

MAC Paint Pot in Painterly. It’s a great base for layering shadows in jazzy looks, but it’s also perfect on it’s own for a super natural look on my skin.

Megan Fox’s chunky turquoise necklace. It just screams summer, especially with a suntan and a strapless top or dress.

What are you loving this summer?

Sending love to anyone affected in CO.

Makeup from Tutorials

Hi!

I had a random thought last night as I was getting ready to go out – what was the first time you ever were reading/watching a tutorial and realized ‘Hey! I already own that product!”

For all the makeup I own, I feel like it should happen to me a lot more often than it does. So my collection grows. Le sigh.

I can still remember the first time it happened to me. I’m pretty sure it was a tutorial in Seventeen magazine. It was how to get Angelina Jolie matte lips, and the lipliner they used was Simply Spice from Avon. I really wanted that lip look, and rummaging through my mom’s makeup drawer (I think I was maybe 11 when this happened – lipliner was foreign!) I found Simply Spice.

…I still own and use it. 🙂 Even though it is a little too brown for my lips everyday. I think it might just be a sentimental thing.
